The "journalists" are insane, however, Ncuti Gatwa and Russel T. Davies have kind of been heavily implying that idea, if not outright pushing that angle in their interviews. And now Jinx Monsoon has entered the fray attacking the former fans of the show. They changed the character of the Doctor; that is what has upset the longtime fans, not the casting. If I remember correctly, it was during the Capaldi era (or was it Smith?) that people online were floating ideas for the next regeneration casting. Among the actors named was Richard Ayoade. But people are racist, apparently.

subscribing after watching a few of your videos, I like the blunt honesty and critical view of the content. you mentioned this in the ARK episode. and it plays out 100% in Doctor who. straight white man = bad/incompetent. this is exactly how it is seen by those with the woke ideology. the more you can be removed from that innate identification the "better". if you go through Whittaker's episodes EVERY straight white male (swm here forward) has been either incompetent and/or evil. the only saving thing a white male can be is weak and/or homosexual, this automatically grants them a status of being allowed to exist if they are straight then they have to be transitioning or a "person of color". now if they are straight and white, they MUST be female... and its not just Doctor Who, its almost every program made now, especially ones that were based off of pre-millennial (time reference not the generation) values. to them the only possible way they could make this better would be having a trans black woman lesbian and then their show would be "perfect". also the Doctor would "Fix" the human race and genocide all straight white males and not allow them to survive, making the world a utopia, cause as "we" (they) all know (believe) straight white man bad.

If she's dead because Jenna can't be there, then it's silly. I know we have a particular voice, and I personally can't imagine Brooklyn played as everyone else. They could play it off her having a flu that's why she sounds different or late blooming finished puberty. But if she's dead because of Jenna, not being able to make it, then it's just silly because so many characters got killed off because their performers are not able to make it. Only exceptions are if the actors themselves are dead or if the plot truly needs them to die.

I watched this episode because the bealtes were in it, I always hered modern doctor who was bad but I wasnt expecting it to be this much of a stinker. The best way to describe it is that its just a nothing burger. Its just scenes and actors reciting line but it all feels so meaningless and shallow.
